Introducing AWS Cloud Deployment for iconik SaaS

At iconik, our mission is to make media easily accessible and manageable for everyone. Part of how we do this is by simplifying media asset management, making it accessible, manageable, and aligned with customers’ pre-existing needs and technology choices. 

Today, we're pleased to announce an enhancement that underscores this dedication to providing solutions that integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure: iconik now offers support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a deployment location for our multi-tenant SaaS, alongside our existing support for AWS S3 storage inside iconik.

Why AWS?

Our decision to allow customers to choose their primary cloud deployment location into AWS stems from our respect for many of our customers' preferences and operational needs – as well as our regard for AWS and the technology it creates.

Iconik already supports AWS S3 storage, catering to customers who use it for their cloud storage needs and access that content directly from iconik. In fact, iconik’s Media Stats 2024 report showed that Amazon S3 was the most popular storage solution indexed in iconik, with 62.1PB data stored at the time of writing.

However, some customers need something even more deeply tied to AWS. 

In essence, many iconik users and potential adopters are already deeply integrated with AWS, drawn by its worldwide reach, top-notch security, and extensive cloud services. These teams have expressed a desire to have their iconik data and operations under the same roof as their other AWS workflows. 

We've listened, and we're making it happen.

By enabling iconik to run on AWS, we’re aligning iconik’s media management with AWS workflows, creating a harmonized environment that makes life easier for those who prefer organizing their operations within AWS.
